Responsibilities
Define and manage the release management framework, including deployment calendar, release cadence, quality gates, and approval workflows
Enforce release governance processes ensuring all code/config changes are reviewed, tested, and approved
Align release schedules with project milestones and business readiness
Oversee cutover planning, go-live execution, and post-release validation
Act as the single point of accountability for all releases across multiple environments and systems
Design, build, and manage AWS DevOps pipelines for business applications and integrations
Implement CI/CD automation for build, package, deploy, and regression testing across environments
Govern branching, merging, and build strategies in AWS Repos or Git-based systems
Collaborate with development teams on automated testing and quality validation processes
Maintain deployment scripts, tools, and templates to accelerate and standardize releases
Manage all environments (Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, Production) ensuring consistency
Oversee environment refreshes, data masking, configuration migration, and database backups
Coordinate with AWS Infrastructure teams for resource provisioning, scaling, and monitoring
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness through AWS resilience strategies
Maintain company-wide Cloud Engineering standards
Partner with Solution and Technical Architects to implement DevSecOps best practices
Serve as technical authority for release and deployment decisions
Collaborate with AWS Service teams, vendors, and Managed Services partners to resolve release issues
Mentor and upskill internal DevOps and support teams
Ensure releases comply with internal governance, SOX, GDPR, and change management controls
Implement automated compliance validation and reporting within AWS DevOps pipelines
Maintain audit trails, release documentation, and rollback strategies
Monitor deployment metrics (frequency, lead time, failure rate) and drive efficiency improvements
Evaluate new AWS, Docker, Kubernetes features, proposing enhancements to existing workflows
Champion a culture of automation, reliability, and transparency in delivery practices
Qualification
Required
Python: 10+ years of experience
Kubernetes: 5+ years of experience
Terraform: 5+ years of experience (Docker or Ansible experience preferred)
SPLUNK or Datadog: 3+ years of experience
Proven experience managing end-to-end release cycles for enterprise-scale solutions
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills; capable of managing global release calendars
Deep hands-on AWS DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards) for CI/CD automation
Strong experience with build tools for Java, JavaScript, Maven, NPM
Scripting for deployment processes (data pipelines, server management)
Git process integration and scripting
Backup management, multi-region hosting, disaster recovery tools
ITIL change management, DevSecOps principles, and release governance frameworks
MySQL and Snowflake interfacing and automation
Preferred
AWS Certifications: Solution Architect, DevOps Engineer, Developer, CloudOps
Experience with ML Ops and deploying ML models on AWS SageMaker
Managed Streaming (Kafka) experience
Integration with AWS Lambda or CloudWatch
