Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely commercial HVAC estimates from conceptual through final bid
Review and interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents
Perform detailed take-offs for HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and related mechanical components
Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
Develop complete cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
Identify risks, value-engineering opportunities, and scope gaps
Collaborate with project managers and operations during handoff and pre-construction
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience estimating commercial HVAC construction projects
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
Experience with estimating software and take-off tools
Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style
