Responsibilities
Oversees the acquisition and maintenance of simulation equipment, technology, and facilities
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage and effective incident response
Provides training and support to team members on monitoring tools and processes
Designs, implements, and manages an enterprise program to monitor and maintain IT service health and performance
Develops processes to quickly identify system outages and notify appropriate resources for swift resolution
Moves towards proactive monitoring with predictive analytics to prevent outages
Designs an Enterprise Performance Management program covering fault, performance, configuration monitoring, maintenance mode management, event management, and synthetic transactions
Extends monitoring to include event correlation, availability monitoring, application topology mapping, and infrastructure baselining
Develops a roadmap for advanced monitoring, including service performance, application baselining, advanced application performance, and end-user experience
Focuses on dashboarding and executive reporting on IT service health and performance
Uses industry best practices and tools to gather, aggregate, and present IT data in reports, dashboards, and visuals for executives
Emphasizes Closed Loop Performance Management, taking action on monitoring results and updating plans and goals to drive business value and impact
Qualification
Required
Broad knowledge of all areas of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) including: Application Performance Monitoring (APM), Network Performance Monitoring (NPM), Asset Performance Management (APM), Storage Resource Management (SRM), DBMS Management and Server Virtualization Management
Knowledge and experience in developing new technology disciplines and teams
Proven ability to positively influence the success of corporate strategies and visions
Knowledge of healthcare business objectives and strategies
Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
Knowledge of IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes
Demonstrated team leader and team builder
Time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organizational skills
Must have full understanding of project management procedures and concepts with the ability to make critical decisions
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to execute on a vision and drive results
5+ experience in it management
Preferred
Knowledge in SolarWinds Orion modules including Network Configuration Management (NCM), Network Performance Management (NPM), Netflow Traffic Analyzer (NTA), Network Quality Management (NQM), IP Address Management (IPAM), VoIP and Network Quality Management (VNQM), Server and Application Monitor (SAM), Storage Resource Management (SRM), Virtualization Management (VMAN), Database Performance Analyzer (DPA) and Web Performance Management (WPM)
