Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) environments for continuous testing and validation
Integrate vehicle communication protocols and external hardware/software solutions for HiL and DiL environments
Understand functional, safety, compliance requirements and execute the testing
Perform HiL integration and test for the ADAS controller using a PHS and Scalexio bench, integrating real vehicle actuators and powertrain
Frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and define effective migration of software along with testing
Actively participate in all relevant technical discussions and events
Travel as required
Qualification
Required
B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
4+ years of hands-on HIL and Vehicle testing experience in the automotive domain
Experience with automotive systems integration and validation
Proficiency with simulation and Automation tools (e.g., DSpace, Python, Robo framework etc..)
Hands-on experience with HiL testing and associated equipment (PHS, Scalexio)
Strong understanding of vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
Familiarity with ADAS features and architectures
Knowledge of controller development and tuning techniques
Direct involvement in vehicle level testing (prototype/validation vehicles)
HIL platforms: dSPACE, NI VeriStand, Vector CANoe/VI Monitor, or equivalent
Programming: Python (including libraries such as numpy, pandas, unittest/pytest), scripting (Shell, PowerShell)
Communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet
Test management tools: Polarion, Jama, TestRail, or similar
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
Understanding of AUTOSAR, OBD II, vehicle network architecture
Familiarity with data acquisition & analysis tools (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, CANape)
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead cross functional teams
Detail oriented with a focus on delivering high quality documentation
