Staff Accountant
Kingsbury, Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of tilt-pad fluid film thrust and journal bearings for rotating machinery. They are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with financial reporting in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
Prepare, post, and review standard journal entries and accruals in accordance with established accounting procedures, utilizing SyteLine and supporting Excel-based schedules
Prepare, maintain, and review monthly and quarterly general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations, including U.S. and German bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timely resolution of reconciling items, and compliance with internal controls
Process, monitor, and reconcile intercompany, inter-site, and joint venture (KingCole) transactions, including identification and resolution of variances
Review daily and weekly operational and financial reports (e.g. Backlog, New Business, TBI) and identify accounting-related action items
Assist with monthly and year-end close activities, including reparation of supporting schedules and analysis
Prepare and submit Sales & Use Tax and other US State filings in a timely manner
Prepares and submits required government census reports
Provide ad-hoc Accounting Support for internal and external audits
May be responsible for training other accounting staff
Exemplify Kingsbury’s safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acting as a safety ambassador
Attend all company-required trainings and meetings (e.g., safety and department meetings)
Oversee and maintain the quality according to Kingsbury Quality Assurance standards across Kingsbury products and processes
Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant experience required
Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information
Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required
Ability to work closely with others to complete assigned tasks
Ability to communicate respectfully peer-to-peer
Ability to self-regulate during stressful workloads
Ability to manage time appropriately and prioritize tasks
Strong attention to detail
Ability to plan for future work and prepare accordingly
Proficiency in analyzing financial data, identifying trends and providing insights based
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
Experience working in an ERP environment
Preferred
Experience working within an ERP system in a manufacturing environment preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Credentials are preferred
SyteLine (Infor) preferred
