Responsibilities

Manage 1-2 Capital Projects Managers/Coordinators
Drives key capital planning and execution for the Containerboard Business
Manages Containerboard capital allocation process, collaborating with key stakeholders
Improves business results by effectively managing our capital projects portfolio
Directs implementation of systems and best practices for capital execution
Supports the development and implementation of projects >$0.5MM
Reviews capital investment proposals >$0.5MM
Helps the mills capital engineering teams to ensure that projects are planned, developed, scoped, estimated, designed, staffed, constructed, and started up to meet business and operational objectives
Help the mills capital project managers to ensure project specific cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are met
Supports Containerboard Business strategic analysis

Required

4-year engineering or technical degree
10 years' experience in Pulp and Paper manufacturing operations
Extensive knowledge of corporate organization, capital project planning, and approval processes
Understands production processes, costs, and quality concerns
Understands manufacturing excellence, reliability, and safety systems
Experience in change management
Knowledge of SAP, BW, Unifier preferred or demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly
Strong communication and presentation skills, including PowerPoint capability
