Cybersecurity Analyst II
NEOGOV is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II to safeguard and support the organization’s technology systems. The role involves monitoring, detecting, responding to, and preventing cybersecurity threats while managing various security measures and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Responsible for protecting and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, systems, endpoints, and overall security posture
Monitors, detects, responds to, and prevents cybersecurity threats
Manages phishing tests, email security, Office 365 security and administration, patching, and vulnerability scanning
Supports internal and external penetration testing efforts; and ensures compliance with security best practices and organizational policies
Maintains monitoring systems for network equipment, servers, endpoints, and key services
Manages antivirus and ransomware protection; trains staff on cybersecurity best practices; and assists with creating materials to promote cybersecurity awareness
Continually reviews logs, network traffic, and alerts to proactively identify and mitigate risks, escalating significant incidents as needed
Assist with disaster recovery procedures, participates in software evaluation, and manages aspects of physical security including access control systems and security cameras
Performs daily network administration and maintenance, including configuring and supporting network switches, firewalls, servers, VMs, MFA, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, cellular phones and networks, and Office 365 services
Supports AWS and Azure cloud network environments, troubleshoots connectivity issues, secures endpoints, and maintains network and security operating system backups
The analyst also helps design and implement improvements to network architecture
Stays abreast of current and emerging technologies and security requirements
Works under general supervision
Work is occasionally directed in several aspects and is moderately independent referring to policies, practices, processes, and procedures
Exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant matters
Refers more complex matters to the supervisor
Works collaboratively with others
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related IT area plus minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus one year of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, information systems, and networking, including the ability to monitor, detect, respond to, and prevent security threats
Experience managing Office 365 security, patching, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection; and administering network switches, firewalls, servers, virtual machines, DNS, DHCP, MFA, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and basic disaster recovery procedures
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical professionals
Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and responsibility
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
Preferred
