Responsibilities
Functions as a Receptionist in processing registrations for Family Birthing Center/NICU inpatients, outpatients, and observation patients
Conducts professional patient interviews obtaining demographic, financial and biographical information
Processes registrations in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
Is responsible for greeting patients, families, physicians, guests, and staff of the Family Birthing Center
First line agent in supporting infant security
Is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior
Qualification
Required
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED
Requires a minimum of two years customer service
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must attend the required Patient Access Services training class; and must pass test upon completion with a score of 90% or better
Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
Preferred
Medical Terminology preferred
Prefer two years of clerical experience, including proficiency of Microsoft Windows
