Responsibilities
Perform routine landscaping such as mowing, edging, blowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, and leaf removal
Operation of machinery, including Zero-Turn mower, tractor, string trimmer, edger, and backpack blower
Operation of snow-removal equipment to maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways
Plant and maintain greenery, including watering and pruning trees and shrubs
Preventative maintenance of equipment by replacing worn parts, sharpening blades, and greasing machinery
Assist in seasonal and inclement weather events, which may require extended hours and weekends
Work collaboratively with volunteer groups to support park projects
Participate in team building activities
Attend all required safety trainings
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED and one year of maintenance or customer service experience related to assignment
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Knowledge of basic landscaping and grounds maintenance and equipment operation and safety
Attention to detail ensuring parks are clean, safe, and visually appealing
Communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with team members and the public
Ability to perform heavy work, including lifting up to 100 lbs. and working outdoors in a variety of conditions
Consistently show up on time and with a strong work ethic
