Payroll Lead

Responsibilities
Assists with all payroll functions including time and attendance payroll system
Ensures compliance to state/federal laws and company policy as well as contractual agreements
Responsible for the Leave of Absence tracking and support the processing of all requests
Provides reports/data on trends and recommends ways to address identified challenges/opportunities and streamline processes
Ensure critical daily and weekly deadlines are met and all exception items are resolved in time for the processing of the weekly payroll
Assist HR Assistants with requests including voids/reversals/reissues/petty cash/disability spreadsheets/reinstatements, attendance and more
Assist in problem solving to ensure all associates are paid timely and accurately
Audit Payroll processes and the work of HRAs to ensure accuracy and, completeness, and data integrity
Train or assist new associates on payroll procedures and guidelines, provide on-going assistance and support in resolving issues
Ensure knowledge and judgment are executed when dealing with confidential and/or sensitive issues. May provide input to management regarding associate performance
Assists with testing enhancements or fixes to the payroll and HRIS systems
Assists with the creation of job aids/BP documents for the entire network
Handles specific customer service situations as indicated by department guidelines
Looks for solutions that meet customer needs within departments/ company policy guidelines
Escalate customer service issues to appropriate parties and provides input to appropriate parties on improving customer service performance
Interacts with home office on human resources administrative issues
Participates in special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience, and/or Bachelors Degree
Strong attention to detail
Analytical thinking and complex problem solving skills
Interpersonal and communication skills
Self motivated and able to work independently and in a team setting
Knowledge of Outlook, Teams, MS Excel, MS Word, payroll systems (ex:Kronos, Workday)
1-2 years related experience
