Responsibilities
Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze costs for individual jobs, including labor, materials, and overhead
Profitability Assessment: Determine profit margins by comparing job costs to revenue
Variance Analysis: Identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs
Reporting: Create reports and dashboards for management with actionable insights
Forecasting: Provide cost data for financial projections and budgeting
Process Improvement: Recommend cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data and identify trends
Financial Acumen: Understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting
Software Proficiency: Expertise in Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions)
Attention to Detail: Crucial for precise cost tracking and data integrity
Communication: Ability to present findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or 5 years of experience in similar role
Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations
Strong analytical skills
Understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting
Expertise in Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions)
Attention to Detail
Ability to present findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders
