Responsibilities
Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
Perform inspections (may include NDE) and witness tests as required by Hanwha Philly Shipyard procedures and specifications
Prepare reports and quality records in compliance with Hanwha Philly Shipyard procedures
Coordinate areas of QC work with other departments as required, i.e. start-up, engineering, outfitting, etc
Finalize with class on remedies to fix any issues
Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and working functionality per Hanwha Philly Shipyard
Perform incoming inspections on material for work in conjunction with material control staff as required
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 years' related experience in discipline or 5 years' professional welding experience
AWS CWI Certification or equivalent required
Knowledge of shipbuilding a plus
Knowledge of ABS and DNV rules a plus
Knowledge of NDE Testing processes (ASNT Certification preferred)
Knowledge of testing/inspection equipment
Ability to read and interpret blue prints a must
Ability to communicate with Production team, Owner, & Class Society representatives
Basic Computer Skills Required
Knowledge of Microsoft a plus (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred
