Reemployment Program Director PROGRAM MANAGER III
The Maryland Department of Labor is seeking a Program Manager III for the Office of Workforce Development. This role involves overseeing Labor Exchange operations, providing high-quality services, and managing federally funded state workforce programs to support economic stability in the community.

Responsibilities
Preparing strategic plans, Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), and statistical and narrative reports to outline program objectives and resources for achieving them
Participating as a partner in the One-Stop system by operating a One-Stop center or by managing the Labor Exchange functions in a One-Stop center
Specific duties may include the evaluation of performance and implementing required actions to meet standards for One-Stop services
Implementing administrative policies for supervising other agency staff performing services within the One-Stop facility
Managing the resources involved regarding the delivery of the One-Stop system. These resources include but are not limited to Wagner-Peyser, Reemployment/Dislocated Workers and contractual arrangements; Interpreting and explaining departmental policies to staff, customers, and the general public to increase awareness of programs and services
Investigating problems and complaints and developing, modifying and/or implementing procedures to resolve issues
Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as departmental and programmatic regulations and policies including those established by the Office of Equal Opportunity and Program Equity, Office of Personnel Services, and the Office of General Services
Conducting personnel activities involving local area staff, including (but not limited to) interviewing, hiring, supervising, evaluating, promoting, counseling and providing discipline, when necessary, to ensure an adequate level of customer service
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Six years of experience in administrative staff or professional work
Two years of program management experience
Preferred
Experience managing Workforce development programs for varied populations
Experience managing reemployment programs for varied populations
