Responsibilities

Responsible for design, development, and deployment of industrial control and execution systems under the direction of staff level robotics & vision controls engineers
Serve as a technical lead on Robotics & Vision projects, coordinating with controls engineers for Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation, and SCADA to assure all technical requirements are met on budget and on schedule
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced robotics & vision controls engineers
After escalation from our sustaining team, provide robotics & vision support for the production operations and maintenance departments, including troubleshooting robotics, vision systems, electrical issues, and problem resolution as they relate to equipment and process downtime, throughput improvement, and/or any safety concerns
Rotating on-call responsibilities for off-hour escalations from our sustaining team
Work directly with equipment vendors to assure they are following Form Energy Equipment Standards to deliver quality robotic and vision solutions, including executing FATs at vendor sites and SATs at Form Factory 1
Execution of internal projects, as directed by staff controls engineers, including development and testing of robotics programming and vision system configuration and integration with PLC, SCADA, and MES
Utilize input from production, maintenance supervisors, operators, vendors, and service providers to provide troubleshooting assistance and make improvements
Responsible for following all Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
Troubleshooting MES data transactions within PLC programs

Required

6+ years of experience as a hands-on engineer working on robotic systems
Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal
PLC Programming and Troubleshooting

Rockwell Studio 5000 (Required, with supervision)
FANUC (Required, execute independently)
FANUC ROBOGUIDE (Required, execute independently)
Keyence and Cognex Barcode Scanner (Required, execute independently)
Keyence and Cognex Inspection (Required, with supervision)

PLC Product Tracking Programming (Required, with supervision)
PLC Handshake/Data Programming (Required, with supervision)
Review/Redline/Read Electrical Schematics (Required, execute independently)

Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics or equivalent experience
Significant robotics & vision experience in a Manufacturing Environment
