Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform analog and digital design engineering roles
Specifically, they will provide support on the design, implementation, testing and integration of electrical and electronics system for several particle and wave instruments currently in development for upcoming sounding rocket missions at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)

Required

Design, develop, integrate, and test back-end electronics for scientific instruments measuring particle and wave properties of the aurora
Design, develop, and test mixed-signal PCB using Altium Designer
Develop FPGA firmware in VHDL/Verilog and embedded software in C/C++ for ARM Cortex systems
Perform system integration, lab testing, performance verification, and data analysis
Participate in rocket launch campaigns and on-site instrument integration
Use MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, Git/CI-CD, and web technologies for instrumentation support and automation
Attend weekly engineering meetings, and perform time, cost, and effort estimation
Apply Agile methodologies and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure mission milestones are met
