Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day quality decision-making to ensure only conforming product is shipped
Support material containment activities, including timely rework, shipment, or scrap disposition
Support and facilitate 8D problem-solving for internal and external defects
Conduct layered process audits and internal product audits
Partner with Operations through daily floor walks to verify process adherence and product quality
Maintain and update quality documentation, including job instructions, inspection standards, PFMEAs, and Control Plans
Support APQP and PPAP deliverables for assigned part numbers as programs move toward SOP
Support engineering changes and ensure quality system compliance throughout implementation
Support process improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, defects, and customer complaints
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and root-cause analysis tools
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence quality outcomes on the production floor
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing quality systems and documentation
Preferred
Experience in automotive manufacturing or similar regulated industry
