Responsibilities
Prepare and set up test specimens and fixtures in accordance with defined test protocols
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Universal Testing Machines, thermal chambers, and microscopes
Perform mechanical and thermal tests while following standard operating procedures
Record, organize, and report test data accurately in logs, databases, and data‑acquisition systems
Support engineers by assisting with the development and refinement of test methods
Conduct routine equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance to ensure testing accuracy and reliability
Qualification
Required
Associate degree, technical diploma, or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
1–3 years of hands‑on experience in a laboratory or testing environment
Familiarity with test instrumentation such as Instron, MTS, or Shimadzu, and basic understanding of measurement tools
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures, maintain accurate records, and work effectively in a team environment
