Responsibilities
Deposits and accounts for fees and fines
Keeps an accurate record of all transactions and balances accounts
Enters all case information, payment, and account transactions
Issue checks for jurors and merchant’s refunds
Maintains and monitors records for standard time payment (STPs) and traffic ticket payments
Prepares bench warrants and make arrangements for driver’s license suspensions as appropriate for non-payment
May audit and balance monthly Magistrate’s Office bank statements and prepares reconciliation reports as required
May prepare statistical and narrative reports relating to monthly division activities
Interacts and communicates with various individuals such as Summary Court Judges, attorneys, South Carolina Court Administration, co-workers, other County departments and the general public
Performs all other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Requires an associates degree supplemented by three to five years of related bookkeeping and accounting experience and knowledge of the legal and court system; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which requires skills, knowledge, and abilities
Must be able to type 40 words per minute
