Industrial Engineering Technician
Legrand, North America is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures. They are seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician to support new product development and manufacturing processes, focusing on designing workstations, implementing production processes, and training teams.

Responsibilities
Support the launch of new and updated products by owning new product development and engineering change activities related to production, including the setup of manufacturing work areas, creation of jigs and fixtures, and training operators
Work with Industrial Engineering and Operations teams to determine and implement production processes for new products and engineering changes and create work instructions
Assist in the validation of new and updated product designs by creating mockups and test samples, coordinating prototype and pilot builds, and collecting production feedback
Facilitate manufacturing systems setup by performing time studies and creating production routings
Investigate and scope requirements for engineering changes and manufacturing issues
Proactively identify opportunities for improvements and drive communication between the teams involved in product designs and launches
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent from a technical school
Proficient with hand tools and can demonstrate practical experience through past work or academic projects
Basic knowledge of 3D CAD software. SolidWorks preferred
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience with Assembly processes
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred but not required
Safety-focused with a strong sense of awareness for safety practices
Strong communication and organizational skills to complete work on time with a high level of quality
Detail-oriented and confident to point out opportunities to improve across all teams encountered
Team player – able to work with a highly cross-functional range of teams and has a desire to 'roll up your sleeves' to help the team get the job done
Internal customer focused with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to adapt to new situations and quickly learn new processes and technologies
Self-motivated with a drive to continuously improve
