Responsibilities
Work with a rich dataset and a robust well-established Enterprise Data Warehouse to identify emerging drivers of health care trend and cost, market pressures, and profitability
Design compelling visualizations and build innovative models to influence and analyze new products, provider payment structures, and health care delivery mechanisms that will lower cost and improve the quality of care provided to our members
Make recommendations to various customers/departments
Lead and/or assist in development of processes/analyses to determine financial performance or evaluate cost/benefit, working to ensure consistent representation across the entire business
Participate in determining objectives of significant projects or assignments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 3 years professional experience, preferably in healthcare or related industry
Minimum of 4 completed actuarial exams required
Ability to communicate (written & verbal) and collaborate with various business partners, including clinical and technical and non-technical staff required
Commitment to participate in the Actuarial Leadership Development Program and obtain FSA designation
Preferred
Math, Business, Healthcare or related field strongly preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in data analysis/extraction/manipulation using tools like SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc. strongly preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience developing data visualization in tools such as Tableau and analytic automation (scripting, macros) strongly preferred
