Application Support Engineer L3
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Support Engineer L3 with our client in the financial industry. The role involves supporting a commercial software product, diagnosing and resolving complex issues, and implementing system enhancements using JavaScript.

Responsibilities
Support for a commercial software product, diagnose and resolve complex issues, and implement system enhancements using JavaScript
Perform manual testing and develop automated test scripts
Conduct technical research to support ongoing product improvements
Provide Level 3 (Tier 3) technical support for a commercial software application
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues escalated from support teams
Implement front-end and back-end system changes using JavaScript
Perform manual testing of new features and fixes
SQL-based data analysis
Conduct technical research to support product improvements and customer solutions
Create and maintain clear technical system documentation
Engage with vendor technical resources for support issues, as needed
Qualification
Required
Broad range of technical knowledge and experience in areas such as security models, Active Directory, SQL-based data analysis, Windows server environments, and the creation and maintenance of technical system documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working understanding of security models, especially Active Directory, SharePoint, and network file share permissioning
Ability to analyze and extract data using SQL
Hands-on experience with Windows Servers
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in documentation and discussions
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Preferred
Experience with test automation tools or frameworks
Exposure to scripting or development beyond JavaScript (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Desire to create innovative technical solutions
Unrelenting pursuit of process improvements opportunities that reduces risk and improves quality
