Responsibilities

Assists in the planning, execution and implementation of projects with oversight from Scientist and Scientific Manager
Actively collaborates as a member of multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines and project milestones
Responsible for learning and implementing Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and corporate policies and processes that govern research and test development activities where applicable
Operates select laboratory instruments and ensures proper functioning of laboratory equipment. Performs minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance
Keeps detailed records of experiments, analysis, and other laboratory activities in laboratory notebooks
Performs analytical processes in support of projects across a spectrum from simple to highly complex for which they are qualified, trained, and demonstrate competency
Appropriately prioritizes projects and tasks and demonstrates effective skill in time management
Coordinates communications through Scientific Manager, Scientist, or Project Manager as warranted by project scope
Resolves technical and scientific issues of limited scope related to research projects
Ensures proper processes are followed and assists in establishing new processes as required
Analyzes, organizes, and presents data and results in regular team meetings
Participates in academic activities as appropriate

Required

Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and execution of projects
Specialization in functional areas requiring specific skill and experience
Learning and implementing Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and corporate policies
Operating select laboratory instruments and ensuring proper functioning of laboratory equipment
Performing minor troubleshooting and routine maintenance
Keeping detailed records of experiments, analysis, and other laboratory activities
Performing analytical processes in support of projects across a spectrum from simple to highly complex
Prioritizing projects and tasks and demonstrating effective skill in time management

Resolving technical and scientific issues of limited scope related to research projects

Compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures
Ability to stoop, reach, and communicate frequently
Ability to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently
Fine motor control for tasks such as picking, pinching, and typing
Vision acuity for performing a variety of tasks
