Responsibilities
Design sensor systems and novel embedded hardware
Leverage mechanical background to design custom CAD 3D models
Perform system-level integration of complex systems
Simulate, design, fabricate, and test mixed-signal and embedded processing PCBs
Oversee the complete product development lifecycle - including concept, model/schematic/layout, generating drawings/PCB outputs, fabrication, prototype testing, and production delivery

U.S. Citizenship Required
Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required
This position is in-person in Goleta, CA
A B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required
At least five years of experience (with B.S) or three years of experience (with M.S.) is desired
Strong understanding of general EE principles including analog and digital circuit design, power distribution and regulation, signal integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC mitigation, component selection, ESD handling, and best design practices
Parameterized model design to create assemblies, models, and drawings
Traditional and additive manufacturing techniques
Embedded processors/FPGAs/SoCs including Xilinx parts, ARM, and microcontrollers
Version control tools, including SVN, GIT, and SolidWorks PDM/Vault
Embedded coding fundamentals, including C, C++, and HDL
PC scripting and analysis coding, including MATLAB and Python
Signal/image processing fundamentals
Preferred
Experience with Altium and SolidWorks is preferred
Basic coding experience is needed
