Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate must have expertise in backend and API test automation, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of complex decision-engine logic.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test frameworks to validate decision logic, eligibility rules, and API behavior across Node.js and Python‑based services
Execute comprehensive API and backend automation tests using tools such as pytest, Postman, or REST‑assured to ensure decision accuracy, reliability, and explainability
Create and manage high‑quality test data to support scenario coverage, regression testing, and validation of ML‑driven outputs in regulated environments
Collaborate with backend, rules, data, and ML teams to embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and ensure production‑ready decisioning performance
Test integrations with state machines, action libraries, and ML services to confirm consistent and auditable decision outcomes across workflows
Identify edge cases, defects, and behavioral inconsistencies, driving root‑cause analysis and contributing to ongoing quality improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
10+ years of experience in QA automation, backend/API testing, or decision‑engine validation
Strong hands‑on experience with API and backend test automation tools (e.g., pytest, Postman, REST‑assured) and CI/CD pipeline integration
Expertise in test data management and validating complex decisioning systems—including rules engines, ML‑driven outcomes, and multi‑scenario decision logic
