Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and execute migration plans, using tools like AWS Migration Hub, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), or AWS Server Migration Service (SMS) to transfer resources with zero or minimal disruption
Implement automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform) to replicate and deploy configurations in the target consolidated account
Monitor and test migrated services for functionality, performance, and security compliance, troubleshooting issues to ensure no data loss or service interruptions
Document migration processes, including steps taken, challenges encountered, and lessons learned, to create reusable guides for future consolidations
Participate in cost optimization analysis post-migration, identifying opportunities to reduce redundancy and leverage consolidated account benefits like AWS Organizations and consolidated billing
Support the setup of centralized governance, such as configuring AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and cross-account access to maintain security and compliance during and after consolidation
