Responsibilities

Conduct railroad track inspection operations using measurement tools and systems
Perform electronics troubleshooting and computer operation
Review and analyze track measurement data for reporting
Operate hi-rail commercial motor vehicles
Complete vehicle maintenance for rail survey cars and hi-rail vehicles
Perform regular housekeeping duties for safety and sanitation aboard government-owned survey vehicles
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of ENSCO

Required

Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in railroad industry maintaining electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical systems, involving troubleshooting and problem resolution with at least 2-years operating ultrasonic rail flaw inspection systems on rail vehicles with strong knowledge on theory of operation and interpretation of A and B-scan data
Level II (two) certification in Ultrasonic Rail Flaw inspection technology (UT/NDT) or able to acquire Level II qualification within 4 weeks of employment
Railroad environment/industry experience
Familiarity with 49 CFR parts 213 and 214
Experience with workplace safety programs
Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience reading electrical or electronic schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience conducting equipment/machinery inspections (periodic maintenance inspections, preventive maintenance) and equipment upkeep
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Operating System; transferring files on a network, copying, and pasting
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with tape measure and similar measuring tools
Functional knowledge of mathematics and fraction measurements
Valid Driver's License
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation Public Trust

Preferred

Experience with quality management/assurance program
Hydraulics maintenance/troubleshooting
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Pneumatic brake systems
Welding & fabrication
Diesel engine mechanics
Soldering and cable assembly
CPR/First Aid certifications
Aptitude for proficiency with software applications aboard track measurement survey vehicles, including ENSCO's proprietary applications
Familiarity with 49 CFR parts 229 and 238
Valid Commercial Driver's License, CDL Class B or greater
