Sr Principal Information Systems Project Manager - 17596

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of information system projects that transport, store, curate, and enable detailed analysis of test data
Build relationships of trust to establish and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships. Key aspects of stakeholder management include, but are not limited to, communicating roadmaps, negotiating capability tradeoffs, eliciting needs and objectives, etc. with technical staff, program management, and overall user community
Collaborate with technical leads to balance technical capabilities with program constraints
Tailor communications to meet the needs of the audience. Communication may be verbal, written, or graphical to match the situation
Provide programmatic leadership (cost, schedule, performance) to a team of systems engineers, software engineers, cyber engineers, and information technology engineers
Maintain schedule and budget while meeting technical objectives
Develop an overall understanding of assigned program(s) and where the Test Data Systems’ solutions fit into the engineering, manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment of Strategic Deterrent Systems Division programs
Develop an overall understanding of the Test Data Systems’ technical capabilities so that you can explain the “why” and the “what” of each solution during non-technical engagements
Qualification
Required
8 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain additional program accesses as necessary
Demonstrated expert communication skills
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
Ability to learn EVMS
Ability to obtain Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
Preferred
Experience managing or integrating activities with DoW developmental and/or operational testing activities
Knowledge/experience of systems engineering approaches (e.g. spiral development, Agile-systems engineering, etc.) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
Experience as a Control Account Manager or Program Manager with Earned Value Management (EVMS) (ANSI/EIA-748 standard) or experience integrating cost and schedule across labor, materiel, subcontractors, and other project subcategories
Experience with risk and opportunity management
Experience with government contract execution and deliverables
Experience in digital transformation
Experience reading SysML diagrams
Experience briefing executive leaders
Project Management Certification
Agile Certification
Capable of working with minimal direction to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require pragmatism, ingenuity and innovation to solve
