Architecting and roadmapping our core services
Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers
Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity, reliability and simplicity
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of the engineering management team
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience serving in an engineering management role shipping customer-facing products
Managed a fullstack team of client, and backend engineers
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
Track record of leading productive engineering teams
Successfully recruited great people to your teams
Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
Encourage a healthy work environment that's both supportive and challenging
Excited to help engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers
Clear and persuasive in writing and in person
Lead by example, by setting the right context, and by helping teammates do their best work
Technical enough to ask engineers good questions about architecture and product decisions
Experienced engineering manager who has mentored other engineering leaders
Very organized with strong organizational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company
Preferred
Experience writing client libraries and SDKs
4+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer
Familiarity with professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations
