Responsibilities
Work with a team of driven designers and engineers to meet project and client needs and goals
Resolve a variety of complex issues, (i.e., challenging design requirements, requirements for unconventional materials, difficult coordination requirements, etc.) and serve as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design team disciplines
Perform engineering calculations, review project contract documents, energy simulation, ventilation and heat load calculations, code reviews, field survey activities, construction administration and commissioning
Develop engineering plans and drawings to define the design requirements for construction
Coordinate projects with Local, City, State, and County codes and officials
Qualification
Required
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Desire to participate and excel with a broad range of project types, roles, customers, and tasks
Ability to take the initiative and participate in a cooperative team environment
Ability and interest to work in a multidisciplinary, geographically diverse team environment
Proactive problem solving, self initiative/motivating, ownership of responsibility, individual as first line of success/quality
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited program is required
0-5 years of experience related to a combination of building HVAC, building mechanical, plumbing, commissioning, central plant design, facilities construction, and other associated industries
Preferred
EIT preferred and/or pursuits to obtain professional engineering licensure
Familiarity with AutoDesk products, including AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus
Previous related working experience is a plus, which may include work done concurrent to completion of engineering degree program including engineering and/or construction experience
Commissioning certification and experience is a plus
LEED accreditation is a plus
