Ensure compliance with statutes governing corrections, correctional health care, and re-entry services
Create, modify, and implement policies and procedures
Implement staff training
Manage confidential and public records
Monitor trends in legislation and current litigation
Audit work and function as a liaison with County Counsel on legal issues involving the Sheriff’s Office
Qualification
Required
A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in a program related field
Two years performing supervisory, administrative, analytical or fiscal work in a program related field for Program Manager I
One year of experience equivalent to Program Manager I for Program Manager II
A valid California driver's license will be required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment if driving is an essential function of the position
