Responsibilities
Supporting integration/coordination within the customer and user communities and the program’s operations departments
Enabling information flow throughout disparate organizations to identify opportunities to leverage system capabilities to solve unique user challenges
Initiating conceptual studies designed to optimize nominal and emerging utilization of system data process capabilities, and developing the techniques to implement these capabilities
Developing recommendations for addressing operational shortfalls, including improvements for system data processing
Troubleshooting end-to-end data problems and providing an assessment of and identifying error sources in the end-to-end system, including developing processes and tools to minimize system errors
Performing ongoing system performance monitoring and investigating unexpected findings
Supporting system calibrations and system test execution
Providing an interface to factory subject matter experts for new system deliveries and upgrades
Providing feedback to factory engineering on operational priorities and objectives in support of ongoing and future development activities
Must demonstrate ability to work effectively and collaboratively within diverse, cross-functional teams, including partnerships with contract personnel, ensuring seamless integration and shared ownership of objectives. Must be self-motivated, capable of operating under general direction, and adept at independently determining and developing approaches to complex situations
While this position typically follows standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), candidates must be prepared to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in response to emergencies or critical operational needs. During such events, employees may be required to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis until the situation is resolved. Flexibility and a commitment to supporting 24/7 operations during emergencies are essential
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of relevant professional experience within an engineering role OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 0 years of relevant professional experience within an engineering role
Basic understanding of digital signal processing and communications theory fundamentals
Excellent written, presentation, coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint to execute responsibilities as needed within the role (presentations, internal/external communications, data collection, etc.)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI Access and complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 5 years of relevant professional experience within an engineering role OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 3 years of relevant professional experience within an engineering role
Preferred
Applicable operations and maintenance program experience (payload systems engineering, integration and test, and/or TIP)
Familiarity and practical use with MATLAB, Python, and Perl scripting languages
Familiarity with Linux
Active in scope DoD Top Secret Clearance & SCI Access
