Research Assistant
Winston-Salem State University is seeking a temporary Research Assistant for the Rehabilitation Counseling department. The role involves supporting the management and implementation of the RSA grant, ensuring compliance with project activities and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day administrative operations related to the grant
Support compliance with grant terms, timelines, and funding requirements
Maintain organized grant files, records, and documentation (both digital and physical)
Track deliverables, deadlines, and reporting requirements
Support implementation of grant-funded activities and initiatives
Assist with preparation of project materials, agendas, and summaries
Serve as a point of contact for internal staff and external partners as needed
Assist in compiling data, narratives, and supporting materials for grant reports
Track project progress and outcomes against grant objectives
Help prepare interim and final reports for submission
Maintain accurate records of activities, expenditures, and outcomes
Assist with tracking grant expenditures and maintaining budget documentation
Support invoice processing, reimbursements, and expense reporting
Coordinate with finance or accounting staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in administrative support, preferably in a nonprofit, education, or grant-funded environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Familiarity with grant-funded programs or reporting requirements
Experience with data tracking or basic financial documentation
Valid US Driver's License
