Senior Systems Analyst

BXP, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to collaborate with business unit managers and IS team members to develop and implement systems plans that meet the information requirements of the business. The role involves project management, application development, reporting services, and internal operations to ensure effective support and implementation of systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business unit managers, IS team members, and outside consultants to assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, and develop and implement systems plans that address the information requirements of the business
Initiate discovery work, assess requirements and evaluate risk in developing business cases for application and system investments
Coordinate with regional offices, departments and properties on deliverables and work plans
Analyze requirements for new applications and define enhancements to existing applications; interact with employees and consultants to determine the scope and definition of new requirements
Evaluate the organizational impact of cloud adoption, defining cloud architectural principles, articulating key security considerations or planning / executing cloud migrations
Perform site installations and training of new applications. Prepare supporting documentation and training materials
Manage and administer reporting services
Implement controls and security strategies to safeguard corporate data.Develop operating procedures and routines for monitoring usage and ensuring the integrity of reports
Resolve and troubleshoot problems; work with staff, vendors and contractors to ensure adequate technical and product-level support

Perform ongoing audits of application usage and provide direct feedback to users. Conduct surveys and/or conference calls to gather & communication enhancements
Perform active account management with primary service providers and vendors
Coordinate project planning & implementation activities with Network Services, Technical Support Services & regional IS teams.Collaborate with other business units to ensure the successful implementation and support of project efforts
Maintain documentation in accordance with policies and control requirements
Conduct both one-on-one instruction and group training sessions
Special projects as assigned

Required

A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in developing applications and implementing systems for an organization of similar scope and complexity required
Excellent knowledge and understanding of business and business processes; knowledge of real estate business, finance and accounting practices
Possess a excellent understanding of relational databases and database architecture including working knowledge of SQL
Possess a excellent working knowledge of Microsoft technologies
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment
Ability to demonstrate multi-task management skills
Vendor management and negotiations experience in development of effective partnerships with vendors
Excellent oral and written communication skills; an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
Solid project management skills, effectively arranging resources and managing multiple projects in a cross-functional environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
Be able to travel and to work flexible schedules outside normal business hours when required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree required with a technology focused concentration preferred
