Equipment Engineering Intern
Texas Instruments is a global semiconductor company that designs, manufactures and sells analog and embedded processing chips. As an Equipment Engineering Intern, you will evaluate and select equipment for manufacturing, oversee installation and maintenance of equipment, and provide technical support to enhance manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Keep current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
Study equipment performance and reliability
Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
Define and write preventative maintenance schedules
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA, or higher
Preferred
Understanding of tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
