Mid LevelCartiga is a leading provider of legal pre-settlement funding to consumers and working capital funding to law firms. The Staff Accountant will support the finance department by participating in financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and assisting in the year-end audit process.

Responsibilities
Participating in the monthly financial reporting close of Cartiga and its subsidiaries
Maintenance of general ledger accounts including revenue & expense accruals, cash & balance sheet reconciliation and capitalization & amortization of fixed assets and debt related activities
Monthly financial reporting including utilization of PowerBi, Cube & Databricks to summarize monthly financial results for senior management
Assist with audit documentation & other audit support
Budget vs actual monthly analysis
Assist with monthly & quarterly bank covenants and other regulatory reporting
Accounts payable & expense reporting
Assist with various major project initiatives including automation of various financial processes
Ad-Hoc accounting related tasks as requested by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Accounting, CPA or candidate a plus
Entry-level and experienced candidates will be considered
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work with multiple departments
Excellent organization and time management skills
Detail oriented
Excel experience
Developing problem solving and analytical skills
Desire for career advancement
Takes personal ownership over tasks and asks for help, when needed
Preferred
Experience with Concur, ADP, and Microsoft Dynamics, a strong plus
Interest in technology and learning new systems
