Electrical Control Engineer (JOB ID 002822)
Innovien Solutions is currently hiring a Controls Engineer to support advanced power transmission and grid-stability technologies within the energy and utilities sector. This engineer will contribute to the design, testing, and commissioning of complex high-voltage control and protection systems.

Responsibilities
Design and deliver protection and control systems for transmission and distribution projects, including hardware specifications, logic diagrams, and schematics
Lead controls engineering activities from design through testing and commissioning for grid-connected and FACTS-based solutions
Develop and execute RTDS test plans and support power system studies to ensure reliable grid integration
Serve as a technical point of contact for customers, project managers, and internal engineering teams
Support proposal and bid development by defining controls scope, estimating engineering effort, and coordinating with vendors
Drive quality, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Qualification
Required
5+ years of controls and protection engineering experience with a strong hardware design focus
Hands-on experience designing, building, wiring, testing, and commissioning industrial or utility control systems
Experience developing protection and control solutions including hardware specifications, logic diagrams, and electrical schematics
Controls engineering experience within transmission or distribution environments supporting utility or energy companies (power, gas, hydro, wind, or solar)
Background working with major OEMs or engineering organizations supporting grid or high-voltage infrastructure
Strong experience designing and implementing power and utility control systems, including -Distributed Control Systems (DCS), high-voltage protection systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), substation control systems, STATCOMs, synchronous condensers, capacitors, or other grid-connected equipment
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Preferred
Experience supporting FACTS-related technologies or grid-stability solutions
Familiarity with advanced turbine, excitation, or high-voltage control platforms used in utility environments
