Responsibilities
Join our team at the Space Park Foundry (SPF) in Manhattan Beach, CA
Design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for both internal and commercial customers, as well as for emerging technology programs
Support various production microelectronics technologies, including Gallium Arsenide, Indium Phosphide, Silicon Carbide, and Gallium Nitride
Drive cutting-edge technology development in areas such as 3D Heterogeneous Integration, semiconductor materials, manufacturing processes, and advanced transistors
Qualification
Required
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
Be majoring in or having majored in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or other related STEM degree
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2026
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred
Direct working experience in a clean room environment (class 10)
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Hands-on, in-lab experience with compound semiconductor processing
Technical knowledge of semiconductor device/processes/reliability
Direct experience in semiconductor process module development and integration into an entire process flow
Direct experience in semiconductor device process design and troubleshooting
Experience in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) methodologies such as: 8D, FMEA
Membership in professional student organizations such as IEEE
