The Staff Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and support month-end and year-end close processes.

Responsibilities
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances
Prepare and post journal entries related to various accounting transactions
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies or variances
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Support job costing activities by tracking and analyzing project-related expenses
Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial data
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve accounting issues
Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
Analyze account activity and provide detailed reports to management as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in bank reconciliation and account reconciliation processes
Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
5+ Years Experience with job costing and analytical accounting tasks
Preferred
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance
Strong Excel skills including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
Previous experience working in a corporate accounting environment
