NEOGOV is seeking an Employer Support Team Lead who will guide a team of Employer Support Specialists within the Employment Security Department. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with employer obligations under various programs while providing exceptional support to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Lead and support team of Employer Support Specialists
Assist with on-boarding new team members, including training and identifying knowledge gaps
Review team outputs for accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations, and current procedures
Observe, document, and communicate with team supervisor needs related to team development, employer service needs, or gaps in communications to customers
Advanced support to internal and external customers on inquiries related to employer support services
Educate employers and their representatives to promote voluntary compliance with state law and ESD policies
Resolve complex inquiries escalated by staff, researching and implementing solutions or escalating when necessary
Offer timely and effective telephone support for escalated customer inquiries, while helping to alleviate peak call demands
Assists, develops and advises administrators in the drafting of new/revised rules and regulations
Represents Leave and Care to have case actions and decisions upheld by the adjudicative process
Attends project meetings as a representative and subject matter expert for matters related to employer accounts, reporting, and premium payments

Required

6 years of equivalent education/experience noted below
1 year as an ES Benefits Specialist 2
1 year of experience equivalent to the ES Benefits Specialist 2 with another state that administers insurance benefits programs
Associate's Degree in a health or social science, public administration or a related field AND 4 years of the required experience below
Bachelor's Degree in a health or social science, public administration or a related field AND 2 years of the required experience below
Master's Degree in a health or social science, public administration or a related field AND 1 year of the required experience below
The ability to take action to learn and grow
The ability to take action to meet the needs of others
Regulatory Knowledge & Communication Skills: Proficiency in explaining complex regulations clearly
Advanced Problem-Solving & Advising: Skill in addressing complex issues and providing guidance
Subject Matter Expertise: Proficiency in navigating intricate employer account matters
Workload & Quality Monitoring: Ability using available data to monitor workload and ensure quality outcomes
Data Analysis: to verify calculations, attention to detail to ensure accuracy, regulatory knowledge to comply with laws, problem-solving to resolve discrepancies, and communication skills to report findings
Adaptability & Multitasking Skills: Flexibility to manage varied responsibilities
Premium Recovery & Estimation Expertise: Ability to resolve unpaid premium issues accurately
Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Paid Family Medical and Leave (PFML) claim and fraud check
