Data Engineer
Wondr Health is seeking a Data Engineer II to lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and creating high-quality data pipelines.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data pipelines and ELT processes to support business objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define data architectures, and drive data-driven decision-making
Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical support to resolve data-related issues and challenges
Analyze new data sets and generate data from internal pipelines for business requirements
Expertise across warehouse, data lake, and serverless
Provide feedback to other engineers through code reviews and pair programming on best practices to create high quality code and systems
Qualification
Required
2 - 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
Experience with AWS cloud services
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages
Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data pipelines and ELT processes to support business objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define data architectures, and drive data-driven decision-making
Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical support to resolve data-related issues and challenges
Analyze new data sets and generate data from internal pipelines for business requirements
Expertise across warehouse, data lake, and serverless
Provide feedback to other engineers through code reviews and pair programming on best practices to create high quality code and systems
Initiative-taker who can manage several work items independently
Eagerness to learn new technologies and technology tools
Results-driven/detail-oriented
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data' data stores
Ability to implement ETL using SSIS
Knowledge of multiple types of analytical software (Power BI, Python, SAS, JMP)
Thorough knowledge of relational database theory and practice as well as familiarity with a variety of databases
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic knowledge of business practices
Ability to integrate several different computer software programs to perform advanced tasks, for example, transferring data from one program to another, complex formulas, using graphics and charts
Basic programming and troubleshooting experience
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Must be knowledgeable of and comply with Wondr Health's Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer science, analytics, information systems or a related field preferred
Amazon Redshift, IaC, DB2 experience desirable
