Responsibilities

Oversee and expand a comprehensive, system wide program focused on osteoporosis and related skeletal disorders
Provide clinical, programmatic, and strategic leadership for bone health services across NYU Langone Health
Play a central role in advancing high quality, evidence-based care, strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration, and building a sustainable and nationally visible metabolic bone program
Include clinical duties with a clinical focus on metabolic bone disease and osteoporosis
Oversee and work closely with an advanced practice provider dedicated to bone health
Serve as a key referral resource for endocrinologists and other specialists across the NYU Langone network
Lead the Metabolic Bone Disease Program, including oversight and continued development of NYU Langone’s osteoporosis screening initiative
Provide clinical leadership of opportunistic and population-based screening efforts and collaborate with radiology, primary care, and institutional leadership to optimize implementation, reach, and impact
Initiate and lead clinical research in metabolic bone disease, including investigator initiated and/or industry sponsored clinical trials
Identify novel therapeutic and implementation focused research opportunities, oversee study development and regulatory submissions, and integrate clinical trials into routine bone health practice across the NYU Langone network
Work closely with Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, Oncology, and other clinical partners to build coordinated, multidisciplinary pathways for patients with complex skeletal disease
Leverage collaborations to support patient recruitment and translational research efforts
Contribute to the educational mission of the Division through teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and through participation in divisional conferences and educational initiatives

Required

MD or MD PhD
Board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
Eligible for medical licensure in New York State
Established expertise in metabolic bone disease
Strong commitment to clinical excellence
Program development experience
Multidisciplinary collaboration experience

Preferred

National visibility in bone metabolism or osteoporosis
Demonstrated track record of leading multicenter or nationally recognized clinical trials in metabolic bone disease
