Associate Director of Non-Federal Financial Aid
Galen College of Nursing is dedicated to educating and empowering nurses to change lives. The Associate Director of Non-Federal Financial Aid will provide oversight for all non-title IV financial aid programs, ensuring excellent service and compliance while collaborating with various departments and external agencies.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the non-federal programs department to ensure excellent service to both external and internal customers
Work closely with the federal financial aid department within the Office of Financial Aid to ensure consistent support services to both external and internal customers, providing excellent customer service
Create, oversee, and maintain standardized processes surrounding the certification and packaging of all non-federal financial aid awards
Maintain compliance with all non-federal financial aid programs, which may include the annual reporting of data and communication of updated tuition and other policies
Work with external agencies to create streamlined processes for data sharing between the agency and the College
Work with IT and Software Engineering to leverage use of the systems to create streamlined processes for the awarding, disbursement, and overall maintenance of non-federal financial aid programs
Perform audits at campus locations to evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all non-federal financial aid rules and regulations
Research additional sources of funding that may be available for our students and work with college leadership to meet any requirements needed to secure those funds
Assist in other phases of financial aid and student accounts, as necessary
Attend financial aid training, workshops, and conferences, as necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements
Experience working with federal financial aid, non-title IV awards, or veterans' educational benefits preferred
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with a diverse group of students, staff, faculty, and the community in a service-oriented environment
Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people
Position requires great attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to successfully manage complex projects through to execution
The candidate must have the ability to enroll in and be granted access to all Department of Education websites, including, but not limited to, NSLDS, COD, CPS, etc
Only candidates with no prior history of student loan default will be considered
Must be able to sit at a computer desk for eight (8) hours at a time
Preferred
Additional experience using Ellucian Colleague or Regent Financial Aid Management systems desired
