Factory Training Manager

Responsibilities

Develops and executes site training strategy in accordance with the T&P functional L&OD strategic roadmap
Develop and manage Training Matrices, Competency Matrices, Training/Learning Plans, and Training Documentation in support of site training requirements
Provide expertise in training needs assessment, training design, adult learning strategies/delivery, post-training evaluations following E&T methods
Partner with managers to assess and analyze learning needs based on performance, talent planning and needs assessment data. Identify learning solutions for technical business needs
Implement standard templates, training standards, digital tools to ensure facility is aligned to overall strategic direction of NCE including TPM/Lean stages of the journey
Develop and manage site Training Budget
Oversee site technical skills development programs for operators and skilled trades
Assess and monitor the effectiveness of all learning and development initiatives against predefined metrics
Design, Develop and Deliver training solutions to drive business results using the A.D.D.I.E. Model
Compile data and analyze past and current year training requirements to help determine training priorities and best use of budgets. Assess effectiveness of overall training and impact to performance and makes adjustments as needed
Manage external vendor relationships, as necessary following preferred vendor standards
Partner with corporate Learning and Organization Development to deploy training solutions
Participate in Market Education and Training Pillar ET work groups as requested
Identify and apply for Local, State, and Federal Training Grants and Funds to offset training costs
Lead or Co-Lead site Education and Training Pillar
Deliver training, provide coaching, and complete assessments to ensure facility is progressing according to site Manufacturing Excellence implementation plan and OMP Objectives
Lead development of site Competence Building Plan
Develop Pillar Implementation Plan
Manage the roll out of E&T Systems and tools according to Manufacturing Excellence Journey including Competency Matrices, Line Mapping, and training plans
Implement E&T Measures according to Reference Guide and local training needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in HR, Training & Development, Organizational Development, or related field preferred
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varied hours/shifts as needed
Proven experience in course design, facilitation, and technical training in manufacturing settings
Strong knowledge of learning management systems or training databases
Demonstrated team leadership experience
Up to 5% travel required
Minimum 3 years of training and development experience supporting mid- to senior-level leaders in factory/operations environments
Strong program development, facilitation, and technical training design skills, ideally in manufacturing environments
Proficiency with learning management systems and training databases
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong consulting abilities with comfort engaging stakeholders at all levels
Creative, innovative, and self‑motivated problem-solver with strong analytical skills
Demonstrated project and time management skills; able to multitask and prioritize effectively
High attention to detail, customer-oriented mindset, and commitment to flawless execution

Preferred

Experience within large, global organizations preferred
Background in factory or distribution center training strongly preferred
