Manager Controls Optimization and Governance

Responsibilities
Supervise the day to day activities of the accountants and lead training efforts for accountants
Manages department workload through the assignment and monitoring of responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
Develop Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for tasks performed in GCN environment
Oversee data collection efforts to calculate and track key performance indicators
Coordinate the development of policies and identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreement (SLA) metrics
Develop Global Reporting Standards and Reports for key stakeholders
Maintains process-level standards, training, and support for ACE, Global Capability Network (GCN), and field related functions
Establish productivity goals for the team and addresses opportunities
Performs quality audits pertaining to ACE, GCN and field related to team functions. Review of quality results and implementation of necessary actions to enhance compliance pertaining to accuracy, timeliness and adherence to department policies, KPIs and SLAs
Provide departmental and field support for tasks pertaining to overall function
Respond to requests from both internal and external Audit partners
Responds to enterprise-wide requests, researching unusual and/or significant activity, performing system queries, and producing standard and custom reports
Serve as a liaison between GCN and field teams for inquiries related to GCN functions. Create and foster an environment that encourages open communication within the department and between GCN and field teams
Collaborate with leaders to solve for process opportunities to assure continuous quality improvement and enhance efficiency (utilizing AI and automation where appropriate) and standardization
Validate employee tasks are performed in compliance with SOX, ICC and APG and other HCA Accounting guidelines
Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of financial data
Demonstrates ability to perform tasks in independent manner
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required
7+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Supervisory and personnel management experience in hospital, division or corporate setting is required
Occasional travel – this job may require travel from time to time but not on a regular basis
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred
Certified Public Accountant is preferred
