Responsibilities

Support program and student with English as a second language - Behavioral Health Technician (ESL- BHT) pathway requirements
Develop and support new programming Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and technology
Facilitate new engaging career events, industry-informing kiosks, community fairs about Behavioral Health and Technology
Develop new relationships with partnerships to help community and constituents understand our pathways
Meet one on one with English as a second language (ESL) pathway students as touchpoints
Collaborate with career services staff and instructors in Behavioral Health and Technology programs to support student success and program operations
Work with faculty to understand and anticipate their needs and expectations from each student
Ensure all compliance with program certification requirements are completed by each student
Expand community awareness about jobs in Behavioral Health and Technology
Work across departments and community and data administrator to build successful outcomes
Develop systems within the workplace to inform more community members about ESL- BHT and Technology pathways
Monitor all student compliance and attendance and provide referrals to wrap around supports as needed
Teach English language learners (ELL) and evaluate student outcomes
Create content for career pathways for English language learners (ELL) students
Accept training in Training Opportunities Program (TOPS) administration with MassHire
Maintain strong connections with behavioral health partners, corporate associates, students, and industry stakeholders
Collaborates closely with instructors in Behavioral Health Tech, Technology, and Health Care to support best practices, strengthen partnerships, and promote successful career placement outcomes
Works closely with the Corporate Partnerships data administrator to support all operational needs of the English as a second language (ESL)‑to‑Behavioral Health and ESL‑to‑Technology pathways, including student placement and program coordination
Collaborates with the Executive Director and Director to support student success and job placement efforts, including scheduling courses, workshops, and fairs, and assisting with recruiting and registration activities
Navigates multiple educational resources related to psychology and human behavior and provides support with logins, classroom links, space allocation, certificates, and systems required for students to complete program pipelines and meet career requirements
Support students to succeed on their educational journey from English language learners (ELL) to Career Certificate
Direct community outreach and engagement

Required

Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Marketing, Education Administration, or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) year's experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include business management, program/project management, grant administration, budget development, community relations, curriculum development, education, counseling, substance abuse, non-traditional student services, or public assistance programs; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Interest in English language learners (ELL), Psychology, Human Behavior and Technology
Experience with workplace learning
English language learners (ELL) Student coaching or advising experience
Experience supporting nontraditional adult learners in an educational program
Interest in Behavioral Health, Human Development, Psychology, Crisis Management and Technology
Ability to engage with external constituents from many varied backgrounds
Ability to travel regionally to multiple community partners and sites
Problem solve across multiple partnerships
Experience administering English as a second language (ESL) assessments
Ability to create enthusiasm and momentum around career fields in behavioral health and technology
Experience offering direct services that support constituents with long term goals
Demonstrated understanding of the newcomer experience, gained through lived experience or substantial immersion working with newcomer communities
Experience teaching English Language Learners and have basic knowledge in courses about human behavior, psychology 101, crisis management and deescalation
Lived experience as a student who has faced and navigated barriers like those encountered by certificate‑seeking students, with the ability to relate to and support their challenges
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and motivational, with a genuine enthusiasm for building relationships and bringing people together to advance wellness, behavioral health, and technology initiatives within the Commonwealth's workforce
Bilingual (Brazilian Portuguese or Spanish)
