Responsibilities
Conduct regular internal audits and inspections of departments to ensure compliance with laws and internal procedures
Identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to management
Stay updated on changing laws, regulations, and industry best practices to inform policy changes
Maintain accurate compliance records, prepare reports for senior management, and handle documentation for regulatory agencies
Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing company-wide compliance policies
Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure awareness of compliance standards
Investigate potential compliance breaches, violations, or complaints
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field is standard
4–7 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management is generally required
Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends or anomalies
Excellent verbal and written skills to explain complex regulations to staff and management
Meticulous approach to reviewing documents to prevent errors
Familiarity with MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and specialized compliance management software
Preferred
Problem-solving: Analyzing complex issues, identifying root causes, and developing and implementing effective solutions
Critical thinking: Evaluating information, distinguishing between valuable requirements and lower priorities, and thinking logically to analyze data thoroughly
Attention to detail: Being thorough and delivering high levels of accuracy in documentation and analysis
