MRI Support Scientist

This position will provide technical and scientific guidance for human neuroimaging facilities and operations in the Caltech Brain Imaging Center, along with strategic planning input regarding the future of the CBIC’s human neuroimaging equipment.

Responsibilities

Experimental design, imaging protocol development and scientific image analysis support
Strategic planning and operational guidance to the Division regarding the CBIC
Basic safety (Level 1) and advanced scanner operation (superuser) training for human research MRI
Technical and human subjects research support for new and ongoing MRI experiments

Required

Level 3 MR Safety training or equivalent
Ph.D. with at least 10 years of experience in an academic or industrial research setting
Strong track record of senior or director-level research administration for shared instrument resources with emphasis on human MRI facilities
Strong publication history in MRI physics and/or engineering with emphasis on human neuroimaging
Resume

Preferred

Prior experience training others to at least Level 1
