Responsibilities

The position is responsible for designing the electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems, for the purpose of bidding and construction for various projects
Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors
Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers
Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Professionally stamp drawings, prepare affidavits, etc
Interacting with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication. Lead and guide meetings as needed
Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines
Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements
Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
Research and analyze clients design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents

Required

8+ years of experience with MEP design
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Arizona PE registration is required
Experience with internal and external project management
Experience in MEP design and specifications
Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships
Experience with Healthcare, Data Center, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors
Experience with Revit/AutoCAD
