Student Intern Community Outreach (Unclassified) (Part-Time) – Council District 2

Responsibilities
Ability to support the planning and execution of community events, town halls, and outreach activities
Ability to help manage and respond to constituent inquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
Ability to assist in developing outreach materials, including email campaigns and printed handouts
Ability to attend community meetings, take notes, and provide follow-ups on key takeaways
Ability to design web and social media content
Ability to produce public information using social media sources to effectively engage the community and constituents with the elected official’s policies, positions, and goals
Qualification
Required
Any combination equivalent to completion of high school and current enrollment in an accredited college or university in undergraduate or graduate program
Preferred
Ability to support the planning and execution of community events, town halls, and outreach activities
Ability to help manage and respond to constituent inquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
Ability to assist in developing outreach materials, including email campaigns and printed handouts
Ability to attend community meetings, take notes, and provide follow-ups on key takeaways
Ability to design web and social media content
Ability to produce public information using social media sources to effectively engage the community and constituents with the elected official's policies, positions, and goals
Knowledge in graphic design and the use of various software programs including Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Express, Photoshop, In-design, Dreamweaver)
Benefits
Employees are required to contribute 3.75% of gross earning and the City contributes a matching amount of 3.75%.
The funds contributed by the City are 100% vested upon initial deferral and will be held in a stability of principal investment.
Part-time employees may elect to contribute additional retirement savings through the City’s Voluntary 457 Deferred Compensation Plan.
