Responsibilities

Develop and stamp plumbing and fire protection drawings, including piping schematics, water treatment, and drainage systems

Design and specify fire suppression systems (wet pipe, pre-action, gaseous/clean agent systems)

Ensure compliance with NFPA, ASPE, and local plumbing codes

Coordinate with mechanical engineers on chilled-water and makeup-water requirements

Mentor plumbing/fire protection engineers and review design packages

Collaborate with contractors and AHJs to address compliance issues

Required

BS/MS in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software

In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 2001, and local codes
